Del Mar is one my favorite places to catch a sunset. One of my first drives up the coast I noticed the colorful balloons painting the sky and thought that would truly be an AWESOME date! In San Diego, the two places these graceful balloons float above are Del Mar and Temecula.
Either way, you can’t go wrong! The Del Mar flight takes you across the coast line where you view the breathtaking sunset from amongst the clouds. In Temecula, you rise and shine early for a 6:30 AM flight where you watch the beautiful sunrise spread across the acres of wineries. Some ballooning companies even offer a champagne toast to class up the experience!
These adventures usually last about 3 hours and include 45 minutes to an hour of air time. Make sure the company you choose has experienced, FAA licensed pilots to ensure a safe flight.
